KIKA was designed for The National Children’s Oncology of The Netherlands. They requested a product concept that would encourage children to play and interact with each other during their time at the hospital. 

 

The Problem

• Children spending long periods of time in hospital - missing out on social, emotional, cognitive and intellectual development usually gained through the act of play

• KIKA - a modular play space where retractable ropes hook between rearrangeable poles - creating endless possibilities for group games, free play, and exploration of imagination.

• Accessible to a wide range of physical ability and ages

• Easy to clean
